CompoundHQ is built around a simple idea: stock equipment we would genuinely consider using ourselves. The range is chosen deliberately — looking at function, construction, value and where a product actually fits in the field, at the range or in a setup. If we cannot see a reason for it to be here, it does not need to be.

Every extra layer between a product and the person using it adds cost, delay and someone else's margin. So we bring as much of that process together as we realistically can — sourcing, importing, building, advising and supplying under one roof. One place, one bench, fewer steps between the maker and you.

And we would rather explain a spec than upsell a box. The same thinking that selects the range drives our Field Notes — what a product does, which specifications actually matter, what works with what, and when the cheaper one is enough. When paying more means something, we will say so. When it doesn't, we will say that too.
